    We have gathered here the answers to the most frequently asked questions to help you quickly find the information you need.

    The price includes accident and theft insurance with a minimal excess, mandatory third-party liability insurance, VAT, unlimited mileage, exterior car cleaning, and delivery/pick-up at the specified and previously confirmed location. The excess at Malaga U Drive is several times lower than in competing companies and is charged only in the event of a collision or theft. You can find the excess amount for each vehicle group at this link.

    Additional liability waiver for scratches, damaged mirrors, tires, and windows (which also removes the excess), interior cleaning, navigation, and child seats. Each customer is responsible for returning the car clean inside. There is no need to wash the car’s exterior (this is included in the price).

    Many large companies operating at the airport charge a fee of several dozen euros just for the option to pick up the vehicle with a full tank and return it full. This is known as a “fuel fee.” Malaga U Drive does not charge any fuel-related fees and does not make any profit from fuel. You simply return the same amount of fuel you received on the rental day.

    Please contact us by phone, email, or submit an online reservation (our contact details are available in the CONTACT section). Our staff will confirm the time and location for the vehicle pick-up with you. Our representative will be waiting for you punctually at the pre-arranged meeting point, and the formalities will take less than 10 minutes. After signing the rental documents, we will take you to the vehicle and explain all the important details, such as the type of fuel and useful operating instructions.

    To make a reservation, you will need an ID card or passport and a driving licence. We do not charge a deposit and we do not place a hold on your credit card.
    When signing the documents, our staff will explain in detail how to return the vehicle — please follow their instructions.
    In many cases (only for clients of companies cooperating with Malaga U Drive), we are able to provide an immediate rental. In this situation, the formalities are reduced to a minimum, and you can pick up the keys, for example, at the hotel reception. The rental agreement will be completed by email and phone, and the car will be ready for collection at the specified location.
    The agreement becomes binding after telephone confirmation and collection of the keys.

    Dear Customers, we kindly ask for your understanding. The waiting time depends on the number of clients we are serving at the airport on a given day. Usually, you are ready to start your journey approximately 30 minutes after collecting your luggage. For comparison, the average waiting time with competing companies ranges from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
    Customers who do not respect the queue or the waiting time — which may occasionally be extended due to factors beyond our staff’s control (such as other clients with children, airport traffic congestion, etc.) — are kindly asked to use other rental companies.
    For airport reservations, the time you enter is understood as the flight landing time.

    Malaga U Drive vehicles may not be taken outside the region of Andalusia. The only exception is Gibraltar — if you wish to take the car to Gibraltar, please inform our staff.

    We offer this service for rentals of at least 7 days. Exceptions to this rule are sometimes possible — if you are interested, please contact us.
    We provide returns only in locations available in the drop-down list within the reservation system.

    These are our logistical offices. We deliver our cars directly to your door, giving you 100% comfort and zero additional costs (in some cases from a minimum of 3 days — please confirm this by phone or email with our staff).

    We deliver cars 24 hours a day with prior confirmation from the Customer Service Office.
    Between 22:00 and 07:00, an additional fee of 30 euros applies.

    Please prepare the exact address of your location and contact Customer Service at +34 602-865-541. Our staff will try to assist you over the phone; if this is not possible, we will send roadside assistance and also arrange transportation to your hotel/apartment. If possible, we will come to you and replace the vehicle.

    We collect personal data only when the client voluntarily provides it during the vehicle rental process or when making an online reservation.
    In accordance with the requirements set by the governmental administration of the Kingdom of Spain, Malaga U Drive S.L. is obliged to provide copies of our clients’ documents within a strict deadline of 20 days.
    The data you provide, without special consent, is used solely for fulfilling the order and processing traffic fines, as required under Spanish law according to Act 15/1999 on Personal Data Protection. After completing the agreement and receiving full payment, client data is not used further and is deleted once the retention periods established by the tax and commercial laws of the Kingdom of Spain have expired, unless you have explicitly agreed to further use of such data.
    Malaga U Drive S.L., in compliance with Spanish law, has established procedures and working conditions that meet strict legal requirements. Malaga U Drive S.L. has obtained accreditation from the Spanish Data Protection Agency (LOPD).

    At the same time, we would like to assure you that we will make every effort to ensure that such situations do not occur.

    In such cases, you will be charged the repair cost according to the standard market pricing. On the internet and in various media, you can find many examples of major companies using their position for unfair practices. Malaga U Drive assesses damages strictly based on the actual repair cost, following an estimate issued by the service workshop.
    Honesty is our highest priority — we do not profit from such situations. However, for your peace of mind, we strongly recommend choosing the additional liability waiver for scratches, damaged mirrors, windows, etc.

    In the event of an accident or theft, the client is responsible only for the insurance excess. The amount of the excess depends on the vehicle group and is available at the link provided. The insurance excess is several times lower than in competing companies.
    If you have chosen the additional “liability waiver,” you do not incur any extra costs related to theft or an accident.

    A large part of our vehicles is only a few years old. However, we also have some older cars. We do not guarantee the age of a specific vehicle, as we work with a large fleet of cars of varying ages.
    What we do guarantee is that our cars are in excellent technical and visual condition. We place exceptional attention on:

      • The safety of our vehicles (condition of the tires, brakes, operating fluids) and regular inspections at state-certified service stations.
      • Reliability (most of our vehicles are Japanese and Korean models with 5- and 7-year manufacturer warranties, known for their durability. Additionally, we offer 24-hour roadside assistance).
      • The appearance and cleanliness of our vehicles.

    We believe that pictures speak louder than words. We invite you to view photos of our fleet. To do this, please select your rental dates on the homepage and click “submit,” then on the next page choose “details” under the vehicle group you are interested in.
    For the most demanding clients who specifically seek brand-new cars, we recommend using the more expensive international rental companies, which especially at the beginning of the year usually have such vehicles available.

    The minimum notice period for cancelling a reservation is 96 hours (4 days).
    For reservations over 400 euros, a 30% prepayment is required. In the event of cancellation, this prepayment is non-refundable.
    The only valid method of cancelling a reservation with our company is by sending an email informing us of the cancellation (providing the surname under which the reservation was made and the rental start date is sufficient).
    No other forms — SMS, WhatsApp messages, Facebook messages, phone calls, etc. — are accepted as valid cancellations.

    We work with different vehicle groups, and like any car rental company, we do not guarantee a specific model. If your reservation has been confirmed, you will receive a car from the selected group or a vehicle from a higher group at no additional cost.
    In the event that 8-seater vehicles are unavailable, we will provide two cars instead, also at no extra cost.

    The minimum advance time is 24 to 48 hours. However, even in such cases, we kindly ask you to call and confirm the details by phone.
    If you need a car immediately, please also contact us by phone.
    If you have not received a reservation confirmation, your booking will not be processed.
    The only valid form of reservation confirmation is receiving an email with the approved reservation.

    The minimum age of the driver is 25 years, and the person driving must have held a valid driving licence for at least 3 years.

    The minimum rental period is 3 days. Sometimes we can make exceptions to this rule, but the pick-up location must be close to our office (Torremolinos). Otherwise, the rental will involve additional delivery costs.

    You will receive an email asking you to wait for confirmation (at this stage we are checking vehicle availability, which usually takes up to 48 hours), and then a second email either confirming or rejecting your reservation, or informing you which cars are available on the selected dates.
    If you have not received a reservation confirmation and there is little time left before the rental starts, please contact us by phone.

    The maximum number of drivers allowed for a single rental is 3 people.

    No car rental company provides a vehicle with a pre-installed child seat. Installing child seats is strictly prohibited by the car insurer’s regulations.
    The child seat must be installed by the person renting the vehicle.
